Oakland Up Cycle Garden
Everything in this garden has been built using recycled items. for example the fence is made from old pallets, the pad is made from old patio slabs. Other items in the garden include: old bicycles from Paddy's cycle, old donated pots, tyres and wheel barrows. All these items and many more have been up cycled with plants to form the garden. This practice is consistent with efforts made by the tidy towns volunteers in reducing waste which is a particularly important part of the National tidy towns competition in terms of the Sustainable waste and resource management category.
