Our new Biodiversity Garden
This Garden was constructed in 2011 as part of the biodiversity initative set out by Glaslough tidy town committee in their multi annual plan 2010-2013. The community employment scheme workers together with the volunteers The project was partially funded under Local Agenda 21 by the Monaghan County Council.
The project The picture below shows the junior tidy towns children all working together painting the fence surrounding the garden.

Live Willow Structure (Dome)
Willow is a versatile Irish tree that can be shaped and woven for use in creating live structures including this garden domes as well as live fences. This dome is composed of willow rods cut during the winter season and placed into the ground and then woven into the shape of an igloo. This igloo was constructed as part of a course in learning how to build a live willow structure.
