Ardbanagher residents keeping busy this summer!!
Ardbanagher residents have been keeping busy this summer getting ready for the tidy towns competition. This year volunteers took on to grow their own flowers for the hanging baskets and planters. Some of the projects they have been involved with include, the excavation of the rear wasteland area of Ardbanagher and replanting this area as a wildflower meadow. Hornbeam hedges have been planted and some native trees. Plans area also in place to clear up the top area beside the houses to all a small picnic area. New hanging baskets have been sources as well as the installation of a Waterlink at both entrances. These Waterlinks will provide water for the plants and flowers during the season.
Spring Clean up Saturday 15th Apr
Starting 10 am. Skip will be made available by Monaghan County Council. Please come out and lend a hand for an hour or so !! The more the merrier.
New Insect Hotel in ArdbanagherArdbanagher residents have been busy this summer with the addition of their new insect hotel and wildlife garden located inside the entrance to the estate. Keep an eye out for further information on the plans for the estate.
Ardbannagher Estate was built in 1981. The estate was built in keeping with the the village artichure stone walled theme which are very much part of Glaslough's beauty and appeal. The houses were built in behind these estates There are currently 51 houses in Ardbannaghe. These house also include senior citizen dwellings and a childres play ark. Residents from Ard/Lis and Culbannagher who took part in the big clean up last Saturday. More that 20 adults and children attended the clean up on the day.
